Hunting Vacation Accommodations
We are in the hunting business, but we know an important part of the total hunting experience is the setting and comfort of the accommodations. We believe our accommodations are one of the many assets that continue to clearly set Foggy Mountain apart from other bear hunting operations.
Private & Flexible
Unlike hunts with most outfitters, lodges and sporting camps, Foggy Mountain’s guests are not doubled up in a bunk house or room with other guests. Your party will enjoy the privacy of your own sleeping room, and the good night’s sleep that is important for a good hunt – whether you come alone, with a large group, with your spouse or whole family.
Housekeeping Plan (Highlands, Moosehead & Katahdin Region Hunts)
In our Maine Moosehead & Katahdin Region hunts, we offer excellent housekeeping accommodations in comfortable cottages or camps. Some of these hunting cabins are pictured on this page.
As you can see, these are modern vacation homes that have electricity and running water. Many offer lakefront locations with private docks. Hunters will have free time to rest and enjoy these settings, and non-hunting companions will be able to relax and enjoy their time while you are out hunting.
We match your lodging to the size of your party. We provide bedding and household equipment. You’ll have everything you need to prepare your own food inexpensively. Plus, there are also several places to eat within easy driving distance.
American Plan (Maine West Branch)
Hunt Maine’s famed West Branch Region and stay in the comfort of a fully restored Maine Lumberjack Lodge. This lodge has been designated as an official National and Maine Historic Site and features original turn-of-century dcor.
What’s more, you’ll enjoy home-cooked ,all-you-can-eat, lumberjack-style meals, reputed to be the biggest and the best in Maine! The coffee pot is always on.
Note:
- Housekeeping Plan – Cabins have full kitchens where you can prepare your own meals (or you can also visit our local eateries). We provide all your bedding and cooking utensils. Should you have your own favorite coffee pot, pillow, etc., by all means bring them.
- American Plan – All meals are included.
